
Celebrating 20 Years of BackOffice at CSSI
In 2005, CSSI delivered a data conversion for a client moving from PortfolioCenter to Axys—600 accounts with five years of history. A few weeks later, the client emailed us: “We don’t really want to handle daily reconciliation, quarterly reporting, or billing.” Our answer was simple: Yes, we can help. And with that, CSSI’s BackOffice Team was born. Our General Manager, Mike Herrera, took the lead—doing the work himself, then hiring and training a team as the need grew. After three years, he handed leadership to one of his first hires, who scaled the team to support over 60 clients and reconcile 100,000+ accounts daily—before the market opened. Today, CSSI Solutions BackOffice continues to deliver high-quality reconciliation, reporting, and billing services—while expanding into trade reconciliation, client services, and custom solutions. As advisory firms scale, they turn to CSSI to maintain SLAs, streamline operations, and stabilize costs.
