Company History

1995

Foundation

CSSI opened its doors in Norristown, PA. Our founding mission was to use various screen scraping technologies to front end the mainframe systems of the day.

1997

Advent Focus

Customer requests brought us into the sphere of Advent's Axys® portfolio systems. The demand was sufficiently high that by 1999 we decided to focus exclusively on supporting Advent products.

2005

BackOffice Launch

We established our BackOffice department to outsource daily downloading, updating and reconciliation processes, using a unique model where we remotely connect to customer systems.

2014

Cloud Services

We began working with CyGem to provide Cloud Hosting Services, enabling cloud-based data security, application access, and support.

2016

Portal Launch

CSSI added Client Portal services, providing an integrated platform for wealth reporting, document management, and mobile access.

2017

Strategic Merger

After three years of successful collaboration, CSSI and CyGem merged to strengthen our cloud hosting capabilities.

2018

CyGem Launch

CSSI launches CyGem portfolio management system paired with Portal+.

2024

Portal+ Dashboards

CSSI Portal+ adds Dashboards.

Diane Herrera | President & Manager of Consulting

Diane Herrera

Diane Herrera is the president and founder of CSSI. Ms. Herrera is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Baylor University, holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mathematics. Prior to launching CSSI, Ms. Herrera worked as a management consultant for Coopers and Lybrand, with a primary focus on banking software systems. From Coopers and Lybrand, she joined IBM. During her years at IBM, she worked on technical training and product support for the company's Executive Management System software. Diane is a frequent speaker at Advent software user group meetings and at such conferences as Schwab, Lightport, FiServ, Advent and Ashland. In addition to writing numerous articles on custom reporting and programming hints and tips, Ms. Herrera is a co-author of "Born to Stand Out: Tips to Becoming an Excellent Computer Consultant".

David Wyzynski | Principal & Director of IT & Cloud Operations

David Wyzynski

David Wyzynski joined CSSI in September of 2017 when he merged his cloud hosting company CyGem into CSSI. Currently David is responsible for managing CSSI Cloud Hosting business and overseeing the IT infrastructure for CSSI. David graduated from University of Akron with an MIS Degree in 2006. Prior to forming CyGem, David worked at Oak Associates an Akron investment firm where he worked in their IT Department. The relationships he made there were assistive to the future formation and success of CyGem. David enjoys residing in Orlando, Florida where it provides easy access to Disney.

Trevor Keast | Principal & Data Services Manager

Trevor Keast

Trevor graduated from Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He then went on to live and work in Tokyo, Japan for two years before obtaining his Master's degree in Computer Information Science from La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA in 2007. Trevor began working for CSSI as an intern in 2006, became a full time member of staff after graduating from his postgraduate degree, and currently heads the CSSI office in London, UK. He specializes in the custom development and integration of Advent Moxy®, Partner, and APX®. In his spare time Trevor is a keen beekeeper and enjoys spending time outside hiking, biking, and exploring the countryside.

Dale Honabach | Principal & Manager of SSRS Reporting

Dale Honabach

Dale is currently a Partner at CSSI as well as a Senior Consultant; specializing in custom Axys®/APX® report and process design/development. Dale handles all phases of client projects, from specification gathering and solution design through post deployment support. Dale has spent the last 13 years with CSSI, becoming a partner in 2008 and has been working with Advent products for over 10 years. A lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, Dale is a 1999 Cum Laude Graduate of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. Outside of work, Dale is an active Philadelphia sports fan and frequent visitor of Philadelphia's wide array of restaurants, taverns and pubs.

Chris Cruz | Sales Manager

Chris Cruz

Chris has worked 22 years in financial services starting his career off at TIAA-CREF in wealth management eventually making his way to technology sales supporting the Asset Management Industry. He prides himself on getting a deep understanding of clients and providing solutions that work. Chris graduated with a Bachelors in English from the University of Texas at Austin in 1995. Chris is married with two children. He loves trying to keep up with them and hope to expose them to his many hobbies which include: photography, martial arts, fly fishing, and just about any outdoor activity you can think of.

George Smith | Principal & Senior Consultant

George Smith

George worked as an outside consultant for CSSI for ten years before joining the firm in 2010. He is currently a Partner at CSSI and specializes in custom Axys®/APX® reports. He also develops data conversion utilities in Foxpro. Prior to joining CSSI, George had 25+ years experience as an independent consultant specializing in mutivalue databases. He received his BS in 1970 and PhD in 1972, both from Drexel University with specialization in Physical Chemistry. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Florida and then spent 8 years at the University of Utah before starting his consulting firm in 1982. Out of the office, George loves classical music, and plays the viola. He is President of the Arizona chapter of the Institute for Management Consulting and Secretary of his Toastmasters club.

Mike Herrera | General Manager

Mike Herrera

Mike is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations at CSSI. Mike started and led the BackOffice for its first 8 years before turning over the reins. In his current role he is also responsible for business development at CSSI. Mike holds a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management from California State University. Prior to joining CSSI in 1995, Mike was the Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Nestlé®, where his focus was on gourmet coffee. In his spare time Mike enjoys politics, economics, gaming, and watching sports. Mike is very involved with his church and enjoys being actively involved in their outreach program. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Prison Ministry named Chainbreakers that works with Juveniles and Adults during and after incarceration.

Brooks Peterson | Product Development Manager

Brooks Peterson

Brooks oversees the Product Development team at CSSI, and has been with the company since 2011. He has worked in a variety of roles at CSSI, advancing from Back Office Consultant to Team Leader, before moving to the Development Group in 2020 as a Professional Services Consultant. Brooks now manages the Department, and is involved with all web development at the company, with a primary focus on Portal+. He graduated from the University of Miami with degrees in Finance and Business Management. Outside of work, Brooks enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, fly fishing, snowboarding, watching Philadelphia sports teams, and cooking new dishes in the kitchen.

James Kipp | Back Office Manager

James Kipp

James came to CSSI in 2006 after graduating from Lock Haven University with dual degrees in MIS & Accounting. Over the years James has steadily progressed through the roles of team member, Team Leader, and Senior Back Office Consultant to now have the pleasure of serving as the Back Office Manager. James is responsible for the internal and external day-to-day operations related to CSSI Back Office services such as: daily processing and onboarding, process development, project management, and employee management. As BOM, he is privileged to interact with many great firms and people. He believes that, by working hard and making the effort to do the right thing, together we can achieve great success. In his spare time you can find him working on house projects, on the golf course, or spending time with his wonderful wife and three sons.
